** For those flying to United States on Sunday, March 11: please note that the clocks do not change to mark the beginning of daylight savings time in the U.K. until later in March. Your departure time will not be affected. When you land in the United States, you will land to a country that has adjusted to the beginning of daylight savings time and your arrival times and smartphones will adjust accordingly. (This all means that you won't lose any sleep on Saturday night!) For more information on daylight savings, please head to: https://www.gov.uk/when-do-the-clocks-change **
We hope you will join us for our celebration in St Andrews! There are many ways to get to St Andrews, including rail, bus, and car. Please let us know if you have any questions about getting to St Andrews.
From Edinburgh Airport
If you are flying into Edinburgh's international airport, there are several ways you can arrive at St Andrews. The easiest and most direct way is by taxi, but that will cost £ 75 - 100, depending on the various taxi services (we recommend you book in advance).
There are several other ways to get to St Andrews from Edinburgh Airport. You can take the 747 bus (direction Halbeath) from Edinburgh Airport to Ferrytoll Park & Ride and, from there, the X59 bus to St Andrews. That entire journey will take a little less than two hours and a single journey will cost £10.40. This route will not take you through the city of Edinburgh but it is the most direct and quickest way to get to St Andrews from the airport via public transportation. To plan your bus journey, you can go to: https://www.stagecoachbus.com/
If you'd like to go through and see Edinburgh, there are a few options. When you've arrived at Edinburgh airport, you can hop on the Airlink Express Bus, running every ten minutes, from the airport to the center of the city; it will drop you off on Waverly Bridge, just outside the entrance to the main train station. An adult single on the bus costs £4.50 and the journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Alternatively, you can take the new Edinburgh Tram, which leaves every seven minutes from the airport and goes to the center of the city, including a stop at Princes Street, right outside Edinburgh Waverly train station. An adult single on the tram costs £5.50 and the journey takes 31 minutes.
From Edinburgh city center, you can take the train from Waverly Station to Leuchars Rail Station; St Andrews does not have its own train station but it is is just a ten minute drive away from Leuchars! Public busses are always waiting at the station for the train arrivals, and there is also a taxi rank if you'd rather grab a taxi. Many hotels in St Andrews provide pick-up services at Leuchars.
There is also a direct bus, the X59, from Edinburgh to St Andrews. The journey is just under two hours. The bus will drop you of at the St Andrews bus station, right in the center of town, close to most hotels. A single journey costs £10.40. The Edinburgh Bus Station is in the heart of town, less than a five minute walk away from the main train station.

*Recommended Taxi Service to St Andrews from Edinburgh City, Edinburgh Airport, or Glasgow Airport, Glasgow City*
While there are a plethora of taxi and shuttle services available, we recommend "St Andrews Shuttle" -- contact information and price list (from sedans to minibuses that can hold up to eight people) available at http://www.standrewsshuttle.com/
The journey from London to St Andrews is a beautiful one. We recommend taking the train from London (departures from London Kings Cross Station or London Euston Station) to Edinburgh Waverly and then a train from Edinburgh to Leuchars. (The train from London to Edinburgh us usually around four hours, but for added adventure, you can take the overnight Celdonian Sleeper train. )
There is no direct train from London to Leuchars, but there are many local Scottish trains daily so you will not have to wait long in Edinburgh to make your connection (though we recommend you explore the beautiful city!). You can also take a taxi from Edinburgh Waverly station directly to St Andrews or the X59 bus from Edinburgh bus station (a five minute walk from Waverly station) to St Andrews.

You can also take a quick flight from London to Edinburgh. London has five airports that serve the city and surrounding area: Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, City, and Luton. There are also daily flights, operated by Logan Air, from London Stansted to Dundee, which is a 20 minute drive from St Andrews.
To/From Our Venue, Kinkell Byre
Kinkell Byre is just outside St Andrews. While it's a walkable distance, the roads to Kinkell are not particularly pedestrian friendly. We will be offering transportation to the venue from the center of town -- more information to come soon!
If you do not have a car, we suggest taking an inexpensive, five-minute taxi from St Andrews to and from the venue. Your hotel can help you call a taxi if you opt not to take the group bus to the venue. The venue has a list of taxi companies for you to call when you are ready to leave, or you can pre-arrange pickup at the end of the night!
